The most significant addition in two decades to the Bloomberg School’s footprint will begin rising next year and be completed by late 2026. Designed for “community and collaboration,” the 250,000-square-foot South Block Building will include a light-filled atrium, a shared courtyard, a café, and rooms for convening and quiet study.

“For years we planned strategically—and dreamed big—as we designed a facility that could help us meet the world’s most complex public health challenges,” Dean Ellen J. MacKenzie, PhD ’79, ScM ’75, wrote in her fall letter.
